Paul & Joe Waterproof Eyebrow Liner in "01 Grey": Review and Swatches
Because I'm not genetically-blessed with full and fierce brows, a good eyebrow pencil is a must when I'm doing my makeup. So today I want to share with you a Paul & Joe Waterproof Eyebrow Liner ($28 CAD) that was released last fall. Formulated with jojoba and sunflower seed oil, this liner promises a long-lasting wear with a natural precise application. To see some swatches and read my review, click......

Packaging:
The Paul & Joe Waterproof Eyebrow Liner comes in a very thin and sleek white plastic pencil. Paul & Joe packaging is usually very colorful and adorable but the design of this liner is rather simple. The pencil has no cap because the lead is push-up and retractable and with a lead that's thinner than 1mm, you are able to get some very precise strokes. Although the lead is very thin, I've not experienced any breakage but I do recommend twisting up only a short segment each time.

Formulation:
With an easy-to-apply but not overly creamy formulation, the shade "01 Grey" is actually a dark brunette that's noticeably more brown than gray. As I've mentioned previously in other eyebrow product reviews, because I have black hair, brow products with even the slightest hint of brown will not match my existing brow hairs. With the color mismatch aside, the brow pencil is very good at creating realistic-looking brow strokes as the lead is so thin.

The pigmentation level is just right; you don't have to press too hard to make a mark but it's also not so heavy that you have to be very light-handed. I have oily skin so I found the wear to be smudge-prone but if you have normal to dry skin, the liner should last very well. All in all, this is definitely a worthy investment if you want an eyebrow pencil that provides allows a lot of precision. However, if you have black hair or oily skin, I would recommend doing some more research and checking this out in stores before buying.
