Named for Queen Victoria and overlooking the Victoria harbor since 1908, Fairmont Empress is one of the most iconic hotels in Canada. Designed with a Châteauesque style by the same architect who also designed the BC Parliament and the Vancouver Art Gallery, The Empress has long been a national historic site that's a must-visit destination for travelers worldwide. During my short vacation to Victoria earlier this month, I had the pleasure of staying at the hotel for a couple of nights so I wanted to share with you my experience. My Trip to Victoria | Tea at The Empress: Review

Disclaimer: This was a complimentary media tasting.
Fairmont Empress | Tea at The Empress Review
As some of you may know, I finally finished school back in May and started working non-stop right after graduation. Therefore, I was long overdue for a vacation. Due to budgetary and time constraints, however, I couldn't really afford a big trip this year. Therefore, my boyfriend and I decided to take a mini vacation to Victoria, British Columbia. Due to its close proximity to Vancouver, Victoria is a city I've visited many times in the past. Therefore, we really wanted to make this trip special by staying at the world-renowned Fairmont Empress. Opened in 1908 and named after Queen Victoria, the iconic hotel overlooks the Victoria harbor and is minutes away from the parliament building. Aside from its rich history and stunning architecture, Fairmont Empress is well known for its afternoon tea service, which is considered a bucket list experience for many. Therefore, we knew we needed to try it out for ourselves. To read about my Tea at The Empress experience, click......

The Douglas Hotel Parq Vancouver Review
I recently attended a L'Oreal Luxe event at The Douglas Hotel in Downtown Vancouver and was lucky enough to be invited back to experience a night there at one of the hotel guest rooms. Located at the newly-opened Parq Vancouver, The Douglas is a five-star Autograph Collection boutique hotel offering a modern, eclectic west coast aesthetic. It's a part of a mixed-use development that also houses a two-level casino and eight different restaurants. To read about my experience at the hotel, click.......

Although the Wizarding World of Harry Potter was the main draw for my visit to Universal Orlando, the resort had a whole lot more to offer. So today I will be sharing a post on what I did at Universal Orlando aside from visiting the Harry Potter-themed areas. As of June with the addition of the new Volcano Bay water park, Universal Orlando has a total of three theme parks. During our two-day visit, we checked out the Universal Studios Florida park and the Islands of Adventure park. To read on, click......

Universal Orlando The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Review & Tips
Because I was already visiting New Orleans this summer, I thought I might as well extend my trip and travel a bit further south to Orlando to visit the parks of Universal Orlando. Since its opening in 2010 and its more recent expansion in 2014, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is no doubt Universal Orlando's key attraction. We spent two days between the two theme parks and today I want to dedicate a post specifically to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Hotel Le Marais New Orleans Review
During my food adventure to New Orleans, I stayed at the Hotel Le Marais, a super trendy and chic boutique hotel located right in the heart of the French Quarter, the prime tourist neighborhood in New Orleans. The hotel was voted one of the best in New Orleans in the Conde Nast Traveler's Reader's Choice in 2016 and it provided an absolutely lovely home for my short vacation to the Louisiana city. My Trip to New Orleans | What I Ate

What to Eat in New Orleans
Just last week I took a long-awaited trip to New Orleans, Louisiana with a friend and today I wanted to share with you all the delicious foods I ate on my vacation. New Orleans had been on my "to-visit" list for the longest time and I have no shame in admitting that the sole reason I wanted to visit was for the food. Full of rich and world-famous Cajun and Creole cuisines, the New Orleans food scene is vast and varied. In preparation for the trip, I had at least a couple of dozens of restaurants I wanted to visit but due to the short duration of our trip, we only managed to hit up a handful of places. Therefore, there's no doubt that I will be back for more. To read about my thoughts on everything we ate, click......
