I was in grade six, I don't recall what period it was, but the entire class was sitting on the carpet, listening to the teacher. I was just sitting there cross-legged, chilling and listening. Then suddenly I hear a couple of the really catty girls giggling like crazy, I turn around to look at them and couldn't figure out what was making them laugh. Then I glanced down on the carpet behind me, and there I saw lying on the carpet was the pastel green colored Always Ultra Thin maxi pad that fell out of the pocket of my jacket. I was mortified because back in grade six, most girls haven't gotten their period and even if they did, it wasn't something they advertised. So in a panic, I hurriedly picked it up and stuffed it back in my pocket, feeling super shameful and embarrassed. To make matters worse, as I was picking it up, I somehow made eye contact with this very nice and kind boy that I really respected and admired. He was really embarrassed too, having witnessed my tragic incidence, and seeing him embarrassed made me even more embarrassed.
Man thank goodness those awkward pre-teen days are over!
As always, thanks for reading!
