Carpe Noctem GlitterSlayer Glitter Smoothing Topcoat: Review and Swatches

Disclaimer: The nail polishe was provided for review.
Hello everyone, happy Monday! Today I have a special glitter smoothing topcoat from Carpe Noctem Cosmetics called "GlitterSlayer"($5.37 for 12mL or $7.52 for 15mL) to review. The idea of this topcoat is that it not only adds shine and protection to your base color, it also does a great job of smoothing out bumpy glitters and giving the polish some extra depth. I tested out this guy over a textured polish to see just how well it works. To see my verdict, click......
I used "Solange" from Zoya's Pixie Dust Collection. The finish of this polish is very rough and sandy, way bumpier than your average glitter polish. I tested out the GlitterSlayer with my go-to top coat, Sally Hansen Insta-Dri. As you can see, two coats of GlitterSlayer over the textured polish looked a lot smoother and shinier compared to two coats of Insta-Dri.
Left: GlitterSlayer
Middle: Sally Hansen Insta-Dri
Right: No topcoat
The GlitterSlayer Glitter Smoothing Top Coat is thicker, it gloops over the grittiness instead of sinking into the texture. There were no bubbling and the drying time is slightly longer than the Insta-Dri but I think it definitely works better than normal topcoats over glitters/textured polish.
I give this top coat a two thumbs up and highly recommend it for those of you that want your glitter polishes to look smooth and shiny!
