STEAMCREAM in "Koku" Design Tin: Review

Disclaimer: The product featured was provided for review.
Hi everybody! Happy New Year! Hope everyone had a good New Year's Eve, I actually stayed up and caught up with some blogging. Anyhow, today I am reviewing a beautifully packaged skincare product called STEAMCREAM. With something so pretty looking, there is no better way to to start off 2014. To read more.......

STEAMCREAM, a hydrating cream that can used on the face, body, and hands, is made of high quality natural vegan ingredients that easily absorb into the skin. Infused with oatmeal, orange flower water, cocoa butter, lavender, jojoba, and almond oil, STEAMCREAM has a beautifully light whipped texture and a subtle scent of lavender and citrus.
The cream promises to "soften, hydrate, and nourish all skin types" and is hand-made in England.
STEAMCREAM comes in a palm sized aluminum tin with a twist off lid that holds 75g of the product. The tins come in various limited edition designs and the one I have here is called "Koku" ($20.00). The design is inspired by traditional Japanese maki-e lacquerware. I absolutely adore the tin, the design is so intricate and gorgeous! I most definitely will save it after I finish using the cream.
I've had a couple of weeks to test the product and I have tried it on my face, my body, and my legs. The product does indeed absorb very quickly and it is very light so it does't leave behind any tacky residue. The scent is very calming and that's definitely one of my favorite things about the product. I've noticed that with the use of STEAMCREAM, my skin looked fresher and more nourished.

However, the only thing I like to note is that I am not completely sure I prefer this on my face. Despite the fact that it moisturizes my face, I don't like the feeling of having any extra bit of oil on my face. The product itself is definitely not heavy or oily, but when combined with my naturally excessive amount of sebum, it gets a bit too much so I think it's probably wise for me to stick with oil-free moisturizers for the face.

However, with that said, I still love this product on my legs and on my hands! For those with drier skin, I think STEAMCREAM would work wonders on the face as well.
That's all for today, thank you for reading! You can check out STEAMCREAM here, they have so many amazing looking designs for their tins as well, so enjoy browsing!
