Hi everyone, happy weekend! Today I want to review for you guys The Body Shop's new Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil ($28 CAD for 28ml). This new oil/serum hybrid promises to "indulge, replenish and recharge skin with moisture overnight", to see how well it worked, click......
-8 hour moisturization
-Non-greasy, fast absorbing formula replenishes and softens the skin
-Makes skin look fresh and rested
-Sweet almond oil
-Sunflower seed oil
-Sesame seed oil
-Jojoba seed oil
The Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil comes in a sturdy glass bottle painted a pretty shade of pale pink. The cap doubles as a glass dropper so the product dispenses very easily.
After the skin has been cleansed, drop a few drops of the serum/oil onto the palms of hand and rub hands together to warm the product. Then gently apply the serum using both hands in a gentle patting motion. The serum can also be mixed and applied with your nightly face cream.
The serum/oil has a very subtle herbal scent to me.
I have been using this oil every night for more than a week now and I have been really loving it! The product has a lightweight oil consistency, I don't really see the serum part but compared to pure coconut oil or pure argan oil, this absorbs faster and doesn't leave behind an uncomfortable feel. Compared to a normal face cream though, the oil takes longer to absorb but I usually apply it one hour before I go to bed so by the time I am in bed, 90% of the product will have been absorbed.
I noticed that the product makes my skin look fresh and dewy when I wake up in the morning and it provides great moisturization and that's really all I ask for in a night face product.
The product has been working very well for me despite the fact that I have combination skin. I do wish that oil absorbed faster but it moisturizes and conditions the skin really well, leaving it looking and feeling hydrated and refreshed. I very much recommend this product, definitely check it out the next time The Body Shop has a sale!
