Anna Sui Lip Gloss C in #401: Review and Swatches

Disclaimer: Product featured was provided for review.
Ever since I started using makeup, I've had a love-hate relationship with lipglosses. On one hand I love the way it makes the lips look, all glossy and plump, but on the other hand I really dislike the feeling of that sticky texture on my lips, and for some reason, my hair is always getting stuck to my lips!
And so enters the Anna Sui Lip Gloss C ($28 CAD), a lightweight lip gloss that brings all the shine but not the stickiness. To read more, click......
What it is:
-A light-textured lip gloss that provides a high gloss finish and a translucent shine
-The product gives the lips smoothness without the thickness of a gloss

Packaging:
I feel like with Anna Sui products you always have to talk about the packaging because all of her products are so darn cute. The rim of the gloss tube is printed with a black lacy pattern and the applicator handle features gorgeous carvings and of course, a black rose.

Formulation:
This lip gloss is hands down the best one I have tried in that it honestly feels like a soft lip balm on the lips, not heavy and very comfortable. I don't feel like my lips are being weighed down and there is zero stickiness. The gloss also has a subtle rose scent!

Color & Pigmentation:
The color I have here is "#401" (why don't you give your products cute names to match, Anna?). The gloss is very sheer, 401 has some shimmer but on the lips it's barely visible and the color only shows slightly.

Longevity:
Because the gloss feels like a balm, it unfortunately also wears like a balm; it fades within a couple of hours.

Below is a lip swatch of the gloss, I had some remnants of a lipstick I wore on my lips so that's what the brighter patches are.

Pros:
-Lightweight formula
-Very glossy but not sticky
-Very comfortable and moisturizing on the lips
-Adorable packaging
-Subtle rosy scent

Cons:
-Lack of pigmentation
-Short wear time

Overall:
Despite the short wear time and the sheerness, I really love this gloss. It works great on its own and can easily worn over a lip color or lip stain to give a the lips some moisturization and shine!

Availability:
Anna Sui makeup products are available at select Shoppers Drug Mart and Murale in stores and online.
