Smoother Hair with EcoTools: EcoTools Shower Cap & Smoothing Detangler Hairbrush Review

Disclaimer: Product featured was provided for review.
Happy Saturday everyone, thank goodness it's the weekend again! Today I wanted to talk about a couple of hair tools from EcoTools. Did you know that EcoTools carries more than just makeup brushes? Earlier this year the brand actually launched a full line of hairbrushes and today I will be talking about the Smoothing Detangler Hairbrush ($19.99 CAD) along with the super snazzy EcoTools Shower Cap ($9.99 CAD). EcoTools Shower Cap & Storage Case:
I know the idea of shower caps seems so old-fashioned but I've always found myself in need of one when I apply my conditioner or a hair mask. So for the past month or so, I've been using this shower cap a lot! This shower cap is special in that it's double-sided. The cotton side should be worn inwards when you want to shower but not wash your hair. The plastic "EVA" side is waterproof so no moisture can seep into the cotton side.
When using a conditioner or hair mask, flip the cap inside out so the plastic side is facing inward. This will prevent the product from being washed out and speeds up the conditioning treatment. The cap also comes with a mesh bag for easy storage.
For the longest time (maybe eighteen years of my life), I used a comb to brush my hair. It was only in the past couple of years that I switched to hairbrushes and I find that they are so much better! Brushes comb through hair more smoothly than a comb and it doesn't pull the hair down, making it all flat and unattractive.
The Smoothing Detangler brush has a unique bristle system that prevents tangling during grooming and as you can see, the brush backing has "vents" that are compatible for use during hair drying. The handle of the brush is made from bamboo and recycled aluminum. I've been really loving this brush because as its name suggests, it really helps detangle the hair. When I run it through my hair, it honestly just combs right through with no effort whatsoever.
