Renowned for its Coconut Milk Collection, OGX has recently released a Weightless Hydration Coconut Water Collection that's rich with electrolytes like potassium, magnesium, and calcium. Also combined with coconut oil, the collection promises hair weightless hydration and a silky, shiny finish. I had the chance to give both the shampoo and conditioner a try and here are my thoughts.
OGX Weightless Hydration Coconut Water Shampoo ($9.99):
This is a sulfate-free shampoo that lathers and foams very well. I was expecting a very strong coconut scent but the smell of this is rather light and slightly fruity. So if you are not a fan of heavy coconut scents, you will actually enjoy this. The shampoo, when used on it's own, is very clarifying as it leaves the hair feeling clean and pure but with that said I definitely have to pair it with a conditioner or else my hair will tangle and look very flat after shampooing.
OGX Weightless Hydration Coconut Water Conditioner ($9.99):
Infused with the same fruity and light coconut water fragrance as the shampoo, the conditioner has a rich but lightweight formulation that hydrates each strand of hair. This isn't the most nourishing conditioner I've tried but when paired with the shampoo, it makes hair feel healthy and clean. I usually end my hair routine with some macadamia nut oil so this duo works perfectly to create a clean and fresh base for that last step.
