Summer Life Saver: Bodyglide Glide Anti-Chafing Balm for Her Review

Disclaimer: The product featured was purchased by me.
Before I discovered Bodyglide, I always wore shorts underneath my dresses in the summertime to prevent chafing. It's been that way for as long as I can remember but this summer it felt particularly hot so I just couldn't bear wearing an extra layer under my dresses anymore.
I googled for some effective anti-chafing solutions and Bodyglide came up several times with many positive reviews so I decided to give it a go. Finding it in stores was not easy as most drugstores do not carry this in Canada (not Walmart, London Drugs, or Shoppers) so I actually had to visit The Running Room which had several different varities on sale. I bought the Bodyglide Anti-Chafe For Her ($9.99 CAD) because it had the best value for the smaller packaging sizes and boy has it been a life saver! Read all about why you need this if you experience chafing.......
Bodyglide Glide Anti-Chafing Balm for Her
Packaging:
Bodyglide comes in a deodorant tube. The balm dispenses via a twist-knob. The product actually comes in a strangely wide variety of sizes and types, but I simply chose the smallest one (that fit into my makeup bag) with the most grams of product.
Bodyglide Glide Anti-Chafing Balm for Her
Formulation & Effectiveness:
Made with allatonin (moisturizer), caprylic (skin emollient), cetyl alcohol (another emollient), coconut oil, almond oil, and vitamin E, Bodyglide for Her prevents body-chafing and feet blistering while providing moisturization. There are several other types of Bodyglide (ex. Body, Foot, and Cycle) available, the only difference is the size availabilities. Additionally, Bodyglide for Her is the only one with added vitamin E.
The product is free of petroleum, parabens and it has no scent. The texture of this is quite similar to a mattifying face balm or a pore blurring balm, very smooth and slick. It has no color.
I apply a thick layer on my inner thighs (where I would normally experience chafing when wearing a skirt/dress) before getting dressed. The product isn't an antiperspirant so it won't prevent sweating but it certainly prevents chafing. The relief lasts for quite a long time (especially if you apply a lot to begin with or reapply throughout the day). With my normal application, it can last up to six or seven hours, even in the hottest, sweatiest weather.
So the bottom line is, if you chafe, get this ASAP, it will change your life.

Availability:
Bodyglide is unfortunately not carried in most drugstores, but you can find them in a lot of sporting goods stores like The Running Room or Atmosphere (in Canada).
