Maybelline EyeStudio Color Tattoo 24Hr Eyeshadow in "Barely Branded": Review and Swatches

If you don't already know, I love the Maybelline Color Tattoo in "Bad to the Bronze" and when I was at Shoppers the other day I decided to pick up another color since they were slightly discounted for $8 (it was also an extra points event). Now I had heard a little about "Barely Branded" and that it was a good base for going under shadows, so I thought I would give it a go. To read my full review and see swatches click:
Now I can't say my experiences with this cream shadow have been similar to what other people have said about the product. At first I found the formula to be much creamier than most of my other shadows. It was a very thin consistency that was not very appealing to me. It applied very differently than the other color tattoo that I have because of this difference in the texture.
Now I think this is really a beautiful color, I love it but I really don't understand how others are using this as a base for anything. I put the shadow through a grueling test which really showed the shadows sub par formulation. I wore this shadow to a zumba class to test the staying power, and midway through the class it was creasing like crazy on my eye and depositing in places it shouldn't have. Now I know people are thinking, Angela you crazy, of course something would crease during an exercise class like zumba. And to that I say no, I have worn "Bad to the Bronze" tonnes of times to class without a single crease or smudge. I have had "Barely Branded" crease even when put on top of "Bad to the Bronze."

I was really disappointed in this product. The opalescent color is gorgeous and perfect for me. I just can't get over the fact that the shadow creases like no tomorrow. I don't know if my pot is just bad or if it isn't quite aged yet and I need to let it dry up a bit? Till then I will be a bit of a sad panda when I look at the container for this.

Let me know, what are your experiences with the Color Tattoos, either this color or others?
