Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Lip Balm in "Pink Shock": Review & Swatches

Disclaimer: The product featured was provided for review.
Hello everyone, hope you are all having a good start to another week. Today I am reviewing a product that all of your probably know and love. It's the Maybelline Baby Lips! I am slightly embarrassed to admit that all this time since the Baby Lips first came out, I have actually never gave them a try, mostly because I am the type of person who either prefers a super bold lip or just a touch of clear lip balm. The idea of a slightly tinted lip balm just didn't interest me much. So did my opinion change after I trying the Maybelline Baby Lips? Find out by clicking......

I have here the Baby Lips Electro Lip Balm. This one is different from the original Baby Lips in that it has more pigmentation, providing more color to the lips. The color I have here is called "Pink Shock", which is actually quite pigmented. It isn't as pigmented as Revlon Lip Butters but they definitely pack some color.
"Pink Shock" is a lovely light berry pink with a very subtle fruity scent. When worn over bare lips, the color they give is noticeable but very natural at the same time. The finish of these balms have a nice sheen.
In terms of moisturization, I thought these just so-so. The formula is quite thin and it definitely shifts around the lips quite a bit, which means the product pretty much disappears off the lip within three hours or so. I personally prefer a thicker balm that clings to the lips because those tend to last longer, hence providing the lips with more protection.
Despite the thinner formula, I still quite like this product, it's nice to just pull it out of the bag and apply without a mirror as it gives temporary moisturization and a nice pink tint to the lips.
The Baby Lips Electros are availble in five other colors, "Strike A Rose" is another one that looks like it would have good pigmentation.
Anyways, some of you guys must have tried this before, what are your thoughts? If you haven't tried these before, would you give them a try? Let me know in the comments below!
