L.A. Girl Gel Glide Eyeliner Pencils: Review and Swatches

Disclaimer: The products featured were provided for review.
Happy monday everyone, today I have a few pencil liners from L.A Girl to review and swatch for you. The Gel Glide Eyeliner Pencils ($5.00) from L.A. Girl promises to provide the easy application of a pencil liner but with the pigmentation and lasting power of liquid/gel eyeliner. To see read more, click......
I have here five shades from the line:
Limelight: A fresh lime green with a shimmery metallic finish finish.
Champagne: A gorgeous warm champagne color with a frosty finish.
Dark Brown: A dark chocolate brown with a matte finish.
Gypsy Teal: A dark teal (leaning more blue) with a satin finish and a hint of shimmer.
Whiten: A simple bright white with a satin finish.
From left to right: Limelight, Champagne, Dark Brown, Gypsy Teal, Whiten (Click on image to enlarge).
Overall the formulation of all five shades are very consistent. Upon application, the pencil liner literally feel like gel liner being dispensed in a stick form. The texture is creamy and buttery and the pigmentation is incredible for all five shades. Within ten or so seconds, the liner will set and become smudge-proof. The lasting power of these are not quite as strong as traditional gel eyeliners but they fare much better than ordinary pencil liners or even liquid liners.
I have normal lids (not dry or oily) and the liners wore beautifully for the whole day with minimal smudging. Also, you can definitely create a more dramatic winged look by applying the eyeliner using an angled eyeliner brush.
The only downside is that these did not work very well for my waterline or tight line, though I have yet to find a liner that does. I tried "Whiten" on my waterline and it ended up smudging upon application from the moisture of my eyes.
But overall, the quality and performances of these are quite amazing, especially for the super affordable price!
Wearing "Gypsy Teal" on my upper lash line.
The L.A. Girl Gel Glide Eyeliner Pencils comes in 19 shades and are available online and in selected drugstores in U.S and Canada.
