Shu Uemura Drawing Pencil in "ME Purple 71", M Brick Brown 84, M Black 01, M Red Purple 11 Review and Swatches

Disclaimer: Products featured were provided for review.
New from Shu Uemura is a line of Drawing Pencils for the eyes designed to be mixed and matched to create an infinite combination of looks. Available in 21 shades and four different textures, the Drawing Pencils boasts a creamy and blendable formulation that's also waterproof and smudge-resistant. To see some swatches of the four colors I have, click.......

What it is:
-Eye pencils with a blendable, creamy texture and intense color payoff
-Formulated with a polymer combination that makes the liner resistant to water, sebum, and sweat

Packaging:
The liners come in simple pencil forms that requires manual sharpening.

Formulation:
The Shu Uemura Drawing Pencils come in four different textures: matte (M), pearl (P), Metallic (ME), and glitter (G). I have here four colors, three of which (M Brick Brown 84, M Black 01, M Red Purple 11) are matte and one (ME Purple 71) metallic.
All the mattes are very rich and creamy and the color payoff is unbeatable. The metallic is less pigmented but it is packed with shimmers! What I didn't like about the formulation is how incredibly quickly it sets! The liners literally dry down within seconds of application and this is a bit troublesome because I really have no time to blend it out. This isn't really a problem when you just want to draw a clean line, but if you want to combine and blend different shades it's virtually impossible.
On the upside though, these liners last like crazy because once they are set you are good to go! The formulation is completely water and sweat proof.
They remove easily with a cleansing oil and there is no staining (not with the shades I have at least).
M Black 01,  ME Purple 71",  M Red Purple 11, M Brick Brown 84,
M Black 01: Super pigmented jet black.
ME Purple 71: Sheer purple shimmer
M Red Purple 11: Matte plummy pink
M Brick Brown 84: Matte cognac

Overall:
These liners have great pigmentation and are amazingly creamy. The colors are super long lasting but they set to quickly so it's almost impossible to blend out. Depending on what you look for in an eyeliner, these may or may not be right for you.
