Clinique Wear Everywhere Greys All About Shadow 8-Pan Palette: Review and Swatches

Since "Fifty Shades of Grey" is all the rage right now, the color grey is getting lots of love so I feel the release of the new Clinique Wear Everywhere Greys Palette ($40 CAD) could not have happened at a better time. This eight shade palette features various hues of grey, perfect for night or day. To see some swatches, click.......

Packaging:
The Wear Everywhere Greys comes in a sleek silver palette identical to previously released eight-pan palettes from Clinique. The compact is super thin and travel-friendly; it comes with a large rectangular mirror and a double-ended sponge tip applicator.

Formulation:
The palette has a mix of mattes, shimmers, and as Clinique calls them, super shimmers. Although the theme of the palette is grey, the colors don't feel overly cool-toned or monotonous.

Seashell Pink/Fawn Satin Duo: I am not sure why this shade is called that but my guess that it's a blend of two pre-existing shades from Clinique. This is a satin pinkish grey. The formulation is smooth and soft, not at all chalky.
High Tea: Satin-y matte taupe brown, super creamy and blendable.
Mushroom: A shimmery grey taupe with loads of shimmers. Great pigmentation and amazing formulation.
Grey Matter: Dark grey brown with a satin-y matte finish. The pigmentation is decent and the texture is creamy and smooth.
Sugar Cane: Super shimmery white sparkle. The shade is sort of sheer but it is packed with shimmers!
Silver Lining: Smoky grey shimmer, again the shade is sheer but there are tons of sparkles.
Stormy: Dark chocolate brown with subtle shimmers. Beautifully pigmented and buttery.
Stroke of Midnight: Dark brown black with matte finish. This shade is a bit patchy but it's good for blending into the crease.

Here is a simple look I did. I used Sugar cane in the inner corner, High Tea all across the lid and Stormy on the outer corner.

Overall:

To be honest, I am not a fan of grey shadows because they always feel so boring. However, I am surprised to say that I love this Wear Everywhere Greys palette. The mattes from the palette are amazing and the shimmers, as always, are great as well.
