Essie Summer 2015 Collection: Review and Swatches

Disclaimer: Product featured was provided for review.
Essie is on a roll this season! Quickly following the release of the Resort, Bridal, and Neon collections, Essie is releasing an official Summer 2015 Collection filled with a mix of soft and bright hues. Today I have a selection of four polishes from the six-polish collection to swatch for you. To see some close-ups, click.......
Chillato:
First up is a pale pistachio green creme. As you might have guessed, a pale green like this one is not easy to work with. The formulation is quite sheer so I had to use about three coats on each nail. The finish is not bad though, the polish is very self-leveling so it looked super shiny even without a top coat.
Chillato: Three coats with no top coat.
Sunset Sneaks:
This is a bright coral red with no shimmers. The color is super saturated so it's fairly opaque in two thin coats. The polish is nice and creamy and the finish is smooth and shiny.
Sunset Sneaks: Two coats with no top coat.
Peach Side Babe:
A fun creamsicle peach with a decently pigmented formulation, Peach Side Babe is opaque in two to three coats. The formulation is a tad thick but not too hard to work with.
Peach Side Babe: Two (three on some nails) coats with no top coat.
Private Weekend:
This is a white cream packed with silvery white shimmer flecks. Unfortunately, I could not capture the shimmers on camera without distorting the exposure. In person though, the shimmers are quite subtle, only visible under certain angles.
The formulation is quite streaky and sheer, I used three coats for the swatches below.
Private Weekend: Three coats with no top coat.
Overall:
I'm not completely sold on the collection as several of these colors here are sheerer three-coaters. The standout shade is definitely Sunset Sneaks, which reminds me of the gorgeous The Coral of the Story from Nicole by OPI's Summer 2014 Collection.

Availability:
The Essie Summer 2015 Collection will be available starting June 2015.
