Dior Powder Eyebrow Pencil with Brush & Sharpener in "093 Black": Review and Swatches
For Fall 2015, Dior has added two new shade options (453 Chatain/Soft Brown and 653 Blonde) to its beloved Powder Eyebrow Pencil ($33 CAD) range. As you know, I am a huge fan of brow pencils due to my unfortunate lack of brow hairs so I was very excited to try out this product. How well does it work? Read on to find out......

Packaging:
The Powder Eyebrow Pencil packaging is pretty simple; it doesn't have a twist-up feature but it comes with a sharpener. The opposite end is equipped with a tapered spooley brush so you can tame strays and blend the brown pencil after application.

Formulation:
The Dior Powder Eyebrow Pencil has a unique wax formulation with a powder finish. The pigmentation for "093 Black" is quite intense so it's best applied with a light hand. The formulation, as the name suggests, is very powdery; the lead isn't soft or creamy but it almost feels like I'm applying a pressed powder with a brush beacuse it's that pigmented.
The benefit of this powder formulation is a better wear. I find the finish to be less prone to smudging, but the downside is that the application isn't as smooth and foolproof compared to something like the Dior Brow Styler Ultra-Fine Precision Eyebrow Pencil.

Overall:
This powder eyebrow pencil is like no other eyebrow pencils I've tried. The wax powder formulation provides a non-smudge wear but the pigmentation is quite intense (at least for shade "093 Black") so the application requires more attention and a light hand.
