OPI Infinite Shine Lacquer Soft Shades Collection: Review and Swatches
Released not too long ago, the OPI Infinite Shine ($18 CAD each) range is introducing some pretty pastel shades with the new Soft Shades Collection. With a gel-like shine and no need for LED or UV curing, the Infinite Shine range is a three-step mani process that promises to last at least ten days. To see some swatches and individual reviews for these shades, click.......

Non-Stop White:
This is a simple bright paper white. The pigmentation is surprisingly opaque but the finish is a bit streaky so a top-coat is imperative. I used two coats for the swatches below.
Non-Stop White, two coats with one layer of top coat.
The Beige of Reason:
A super sheer nude peach, this shade was not easy to work with. I tried putting two to three coats but the coverage was incredibly streaky and patchy so in the swatches below I've only used one. Even so, the finish is not ideal so this is not a sheer I would recommend.
The Beige of Reason, one coat with no top coat.
Pearl of Wisdom:
This is a soft white with pearly shimmer specks. The formulation is decent but fairly sheer and patchy. I used two coats for the swatches below.
Pearl of Wisdom, two coats with no top coat.
Beyond the Pale Pink:
Off-white with just a hint of pink, this shade is also quite opaque. I used two coats for the swatches below and the finish is much better compared to Non-Stop White.
Beyond the Pale Pink, two coats with no top coat.
Eternally Turquoise:
This is a soft light blue with a rich and creamy formulation. I used two coats and the finish is nicely opaque and smooth.
Eternally Turquoise, two coats with no top coat.
Go to Grayt Lengths:
This is a soft grey loaded with silvery sparkles. The formulation is fairly pigmented so at least two coats are needed for a full coverage.
Go to Grayt Lengths, two coats with no top coat.
Overall:
I am not too impressed with the formulation of this collection. The Infinite Shines are known to be rich and pigmented but too many shades here are simply too runny, sheer, and streaky. A couple of standouts are Eternally Turquoise, Non-Stop White, and Beyond the Pale Pink. Aside from these the other shades really aren't very easy to work with so I would not recommend them very much.

The OPI Infinite Shine Soft Shades Collection is available now at select salons and The Bay.
