New from Revlon comes an ingenious two-in-one device called the One-Step Ionic Hair Dryer and Styler ($59.99 CAD). So does this device sound as cool as it looks? Read on to find out, click.......

Packaging & Design:
The One-Step Ionic Hair Dryer & Styler is essentially a hair dryer shaped like a giant hairbrush. This sizable device has a rather thick handle, with the dryer fan located at the base of the handle where the electric cord connects. The paddle hair brush is very large and cushiony, perhaps more suitable for those with long and thick hair.
The dryer brush has three settings: cool, low, and high. The ionic conditioning is thus always turned on whenever the fan is running. The overall design, although innovative, is unfortunately chunky, heavy, and clumsy to maneuver around.

The Result:
I've dreamt of a brush and hair dryer combination in my heard before so I was very excited about this innovation from Revlon. The device has a sturdy design and the brush paddle has a nice quality; however, this tool is flawed in a couple of ways.
Firstly, the dryer fan is simply too weak! Even on the highest setting, it took me almost twenty minutes to only partially dry my hair. I think that because the brush is so large, the hot air exuded becomes too diffuse to be effective. The second and slightly less important flaw is the size of this device, which is too clumsy and awkward to hold and maneuver around the head.
This would be a good device for drying and styling if your hair is almost dry. However, if you've come straight out of the shower, it's going to take a very long time to dry everything. Also, this is definitely more suitable for thin, medium length hair as opposed to thick and long hair. If you have very short hair, I don't see much benefit either, since the paddle is simply too large to be an efficient dryer or styler.
