New from Philosophy comes three new additions to the brand's Renewed Hope In a Jar range! From a night version of the Renewed Hope in a Jar Moisturizer (one of my all-time favorite face creams), a dreamy moisture mask, to an interesting skin-renewal hydrating mist, Philosophy is bringing some serious skin hydration this spring! To read my thoughts on all three products, click.......
Renewed Hope In a Jar Night Cream
Renewed Hope In a Jar Night Cream ($65 CAD):
A night version of the amazing Renewed Hope In a Jar Moisturizer released last year (check out my full review here), this cream is formulated with Myramaze plant extract and AHA, promising to provide 24-hour hydration that smooths and refines the skin. Right off the bat, the texture of the Renewed Hope In a Jar Night is quite different compared to its original Renewed Hope In a Jar Moisturizer. With a rich and dense texture, this cream is much heavier compared to the original day version. With that said, the cream doesn't feel greasy or icky on the skin, and it absorbs quite well. The finish it leaves behind is not as matte though, which is fine for night time use.
The product keeps my skin hydrated and my skin looks well-rested and supple in the morning, which is exactly what I ask for from my night creams. Overall, this night cream wasn't as amazing and unique as the original non-night version (mostly in terms of texture), but it does exactly what it claims.
Renewed Hope In a Jar Microrenewal Hydrating Mist
& Re-Energizing Moisture Mask
Renewed Hope In a Jar Microrenewal Hydrating Mist ($32 CAD):
An interesting new addition to the Renewed Hope In a Jar line, this is a refreshing mist formulated with three different kinds of alpha hydroxy acids and a special Asian fruit extract called "wu-zhu-yu". The Microrenewal Hydrating Mist has a lovely, subtle floral scent and it indeed feels very refreshing on the face. The spritzer isn't great so the mist comes out more like a spray. I personally wouldn't use this over makeup, just because I think it would make things smudge and run slightly. I think this is a great product for those with dry skin because the mist feels super calming and hydrating!

Renewed Hope In a Jar Re-Energizing Moisture Mask ($39 CAD):
A velvety smooth wash-off mask that reminds me a lot of my beloved Fresh Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask, the Re-Energizing Moisture Mask is also formulated with three AHAs, and wu-shu-yu extract, along with hydrating hyaluronic acid. The texture is very lightweight and it feels super relaxing and slightly tingly on the skin. The mask doesn't set so after 10 minutes, it can be wiped and then washed off. The result it gives is really lovely; my skin looks and feels softer, smoother, and more hydrated. Also, the tube comes with 120ml of products, which for $39 CAD is a great value!
