Biotherm Aquasource Everplump
Housed in a beautiful and sturdy glass bottle tinted with a blue gradient, the Aquasource Everplump has a gel texture that's virtually weightless. You get a total of 50ml of products but just a dab of the product goes a long way. The key ingredient is the "Blue Hyaluron", a marine organism-derived sugar that boosts the skin's natural hyaluronic acid synthesis. As you may know, hyaluronic acid has the capability of holding onto 1000 times its weight in water, so the product is definitely hydrating. Upon application, the gel literally felt like spreading water across the skin. The texture is super pleasant and comfy and there is also a fresh and invigorating citrus scent.

However, I noticed that as the day went on, my skin felt ickier and more congested than usual. I checked the ingredient list and as it turns out, the product contains dimethicone. I know dimethicone isn't horrible for the skin but I just absolutely can't stand it. It serves as an emollient to smooth over fine lines and pores but a result, it actually sits on the skin and doesn't get absorbed. This poses a problem for me because I have fairly oily skin. When I wear silicone-based moisturizers or makeup, the oil my skin produces gets trapped and mixed with the silicone, creating an unpleasant slurry of oil, silicone, dead skin cells, and dirt accumulated throughout the day.
All in all, I think the Aquasource Everplump is a great moisturizer as long as you don't mind the dimethicone. The formulation is very hydrating, making it a great option as an everyday moisturizer!
