Guerlain Meteorites Pearls Carousel: Review and Swatches

Disclaimer: The products featured were provided for review.
For this fall, Guerlain has yet another limited edition Meteorites Pearls that you'd want to get your hands on as soon as possible. Coming this November to North America (previously released this Spring in other continents), the Guerlain Meteorites Pearls Carousel ($75 CAD) takes on a more whimsical theme inspired by the colorful carnival ride. With a rosy tint, this new pearl powder is pigmented enough to be used as a blush. To see some more pictures and my swatches, click.......

Packaging:
The Guerlain Meteorites Pearls Carousel comes in a beautiful metal tin inspired by the popular amusement park ride. The lid has your classic scalloped design and the jar has a line of pearls encircling the pink base. This edition of the Meteorite Pearls definitely feels more youthful and girly, contrasting the more ornate, elegant designs of the previous versions. As always, the pearls come with a puff applicator. Unfortunately, the puff does not have a strap or handle, which makes it a bit tough to pick up and use (or even take out of the jar).

Formulation:
In this Carousel version of the Meteorites Pearls, you get four different shades of pearls: a shimmery white, a soft lavender, a baby yellow, and a warm pink. When blended together, the pearls give off a sheer rosy glow. So unlike the original Meteorite Pearls, the Meteorites Carousel can be used as a blush. It can be sheered out enough to use all over the face but I actually really like it as a soft blush. The formulation of these pearls is super fine and silky so you won't get any big chunks of glitter. As is with all Guerlain products, the pearls are scented with a very beautiful floral scent.
