Essie Spring 2018
At the Helm:
A rich orange cream, At the Helm appears a lot dustier in the bottle but shows up quite brilliantly on the nails. The formulation is rich and pigmented so two coats give a smooth and opaque finish.

Perfect Mate:
A creamy salmon pink, Perfect Mate is beautifully rich and pigmented. I used two coats for the swatches below.

Pass-port to Sail:
This is a sheer ivory scattered with subtle pearly shimmers. I'm not a fan of sheer polishes so I'm quite indifferent towards this shade. I tried to apply just one coat but I found the finish a bit patchy. With two coats, however, things seemed to only get worse and the shimmers kind of got lost. Therefore, I would advise applying very carefully and sticking with just one coat.

Anchor Down:
A deep granite cream with just hint of blue, Anchor Down is super rich and pigmented. I used two coats for the swatches below.

Stripes and Sails:
Another unconventional spring color, Stripes and Sails is a very pigmented deep teal. The formulation is smooth and buttery so only two coats are needed to attain the perfect coverage.

Bon Boy-age:
Last but certainly not least is this dusty seafoam green with a hint of mint. I was afraid the formulation might be sheer but this shade is very pigmented and creamy. The mint green fad has come and gone but I think this new take on the color will definitely please.

I'm absolutely in love! Essie has outdone itself with this unique collection that not only satisfies the pastel spring palette but also offers a couple of rich, unconventional hues. My personal picks are At the Helm, Perfect Mate, and Bon Boy-age! What's your favorite shade? Share with me in the comments below!
