Packaging:The Rouge Dior On Stage comes in a sleek and slim black case. The silver-engraved "CD" logo adds a touch of elegance, while the cap is topped with Dior’s iconic cannage pattern, also in silver. The lipstick bullet has a distinctive shape, an upside-down teardrop designed for more precise application.

Formulation:Inspired by long-wearing liquid lipsticks, the Rouge Dior On Stage features an innovative dual-phase formulation infused with extracts of peony and pomegranate. It is richly pigmented and feels like a regular lipstick upon application. There is a slight drag at first, but as the product warms on the lips, it becomes much easier to build. Shortly after, the dual-phase formulation settles to form a satin shine layer on top of the base color. The finish is almost completely smudge-proof and transfer-proof while still feeling hydrating and comfortable. I don’t think I have tried a dual-phase lipstick before. The formulation reminds me of dual-phase Korean lip tints, like the Romand Juicy Lasting Lip Tint, but in lipstick form. The finish is not as glossy, but it still has a nice sheen, and the color is impressively long-lasting.

168 Copper Attraction: This is a medium warm dusty peach. I wouldn’t quite describe it as a copper shade, so the name feels a bit misleading. That said, it’s a very flattering color for those with warm undertones.

222 Confident Nude: Another nude similar to ‘168 Copper Attraction,’ this shade is a neutral beige. It’s slightly less saturated, making it a versatile everyday nude that should flatter most skin tones.

226 Daring Blush: This is a warm, petal-rose shade. It’s not the most flattering on my skin tone so I find myself wishing it were a bit more muted and cool-toned.

550 Red Shock: This is a very deep, warm-toned red. While it appears brighter in the tube, it applies much darker on the lips. It's a nice color, but I'm disappointed that the range lacks a bright red or a true classic red.

496 Berry Attitude: This is a deep wine red. The name feels misleading, as it doesn’t resemble what I would consider a berry shade. That said, the formula is impressively opaque and applies evenly, which is notable since colors like this tend to be quite patchy.

565 Fearless Brown: Last but not least is another dark and vampy shade. This is a deep burgundy brown. It’s so close to "496 Berry Attitude" that it’s honestly hard to tell them apart. Since the collection only has 10 shades, I don’t really get why they included so many that look alike. I’m really hoping a future shade extension adds more variety, like a rosy mauve, a berry pink, a bright red, and a classic red.

Overall, this is a very innovative lipstick range from Dior. The dual phase formulation is pigmented and long lasting, providing a beautiful sheen and comfortable wear. At this point, though, I’m a bit disappointed in the shade range. A few of the shades seem too similar to each other, and there aren’t enough cool tones or bold, bright colors. However, I foresee a shade extension in the future, as this is definitely a great formulation that will be well received.
