The Bottle:
Cloaked from top to bottom in a mysterious black lacquer, L'Interdit Intense features the same silhouette as the original fragrance. Around the neck of the bottle, an onyx black ribbon secures a reflective silver emblem etched with the iconic 4G logo. This is by far one of the most elegant and striking perfume bottles I have in my collection so even if you don't like the scent (which is very unlikely), it is still worth checking out!

The Scent:
Opening on a fleeting note of refreshing orange blossom, L'Interdit Intense quickly switches to a sweet but sophisticated warm floral bolstered with yummy vanilla and roasted sesame seeds. Although described as an oriental floral, the fragrance almost comes across as a gourmand, in the best way possible, without the headache-inducing, synthetic quality of some.

Top Notes: Orange Blossom, Black Pepper
Heart Notes: Tuberose, Roasted Sesame
Base Notes: Vetiver, Patchouli, Vanilla

Givenchy | L'Interdit Eau de Parfum Intense
Despite the all-black packaging, this is a surprisingly welcoming and comforting scent perfect for fall and winter. The scent profile is also very unique, setting it apart from the dozens of other vanilla-floral combos. In terms of sillage and longevity, L'Interdit Intense is average or just above average; it's definitely softer than what I expect from an "intense" fragrance but that's not a dealbreaker. Whether or not you enjoy the original L'Interdit, L'Interdit Intense is definitely a must-try for fans of sweet florals or for those looking for an alluring cold-weather fragrance.
