Benefit Lollitint Candy-orchid Tinted Lip & Cheek Stain: Review and Swatches

Disclaimer: The product featured was provided for review.
I had a lot of fun doing the spring lip and cheek post featuring products from Clarins so today I am back with another one featuring the Benefit Lollitint Candy-orchid Lip & Cheek Stain ($36 CAD). Lollitint is the newest addition to the ever-growing family of Benefit lip and cheek tints and this one is a sheer, candy-orchid shade that's perfect for spring.

What it is:
-A versatile orchid stain that can be used on both the lips and cheeks
-Long lasting and smudge proof

Packaging:
The tint comes in an adorably designed small glass bottle with a reflective orchid chrome finish. The cap has a small brush that you can use to apply the tint. As I may have mentioned in my old review of some Benefit tints that I own, I am not a big fan of the brush tip applicator. I just feel like it's very unsanitary. Other products like lip glosses, lipsticks, concealers with similar packaging don't bother me as much because unlike a tint, they aren't as liquid-y and won't go bad as quickly. I think a glass dropper might be a better dispenser. With that said, when I use this product I simply dip a fresh Q-Tip into the bottle; it wastes more product because the cotton absorbs some of the tint but it is a price I am willing to pay to keep the product fresher for longer.
Formulation & Application:
The Lollitint has a very flattering pink color that leans slightly lavender. The consistency of the tint is  milky and slightly viscous. Formulation wise, it is the same as Posietint or any of the other Benefit tints besides Benetint. I don't love wearing it on my lips because the tint leaves behind a funny texture  and it's quite drying. On the cheeks, however, this color is super lovely and it blends nicely over foundation! I think it may be my favorite Benefit lip and cheek tint thus far!

Longevity:
The product is very long lasting because it really stains the skin.

Here are a couple of swatches of the product on my arm.

Here I am wearing the tint on both the lips and cheeks, the purple eyeliner is from Lush's Emotional Brilliance Line (review to come soon):
Pros:
-The orchid color is very on trend for 2014
-Long lasting formulation
-Cute bottle design
-Simple to use and blends nicely, perfect for when you are in a rush

Cons:
-Personally I do not like the brush applicator, I think it's unsanitary
-The tint leaves a strange texture on the lips (works perfectly on the cheeks though)

Overall:
If you are a fan of Benefit tints then you are going to love this one. The orchid color is so on trend for 2014 and perfect for spring. If you never tried Benefit tints before this is a good one to start with because the color is very flattering and it's a very easy product to use.
