Dior Diorshow Brow Styler Gel: Review and Swatches

Disclaimer: Product featured was provided for review.
Dior is jazzing up ordinary brow gels with the release of its new Diorshow Brow Styler Gel ($30 CAD). Smartly designed with a brush comb that directly dispenses brow gel, these stylers promise to make brow-grooming a breeze. So how do these work, find out by click.......
The Diorshow Brow Styler Gels are basically push-up pens that house the gel inside its casing. The gel dispenses along the sides of the stiff silicone wand applicator. To use, simply twist the bottom the pen a couple of times until you see the gel ooze out from the sides of the combs. Then simply brush the comb through the brows.
When using these for the first time, you have to twist the it quite a few times before the gel comes out.

Available in three shades, the Brow Styler Gel features a simple, lightweight formulation. Even the darkest brown is quite sheer so these serve more of a grooming purpose. If you have sparse brows, these won't help fill in missing spots or patches. In fact, I found the bristles of the wand just a bit too long and stiff to work for my sparse brows. For me, I have barely any brows so they really weren't thick enough for the wand to comb through. However, if you have really full brows, I can see these working very nicely to highlight and groom the brow hairs.

I think the design is convenient and ingenious. However, the product isn't for everyone. If you have sparse brows like me, the comb applicator's bristles are actually too long and stiff to effectively groom the brows and coat the hairs evenly with the gel. Therefore, I would only recommend these to those with decently full brows that want to an easy and quick a way to tame any stray hairs.

The Diorshow Brow Style Gel is available starting June 2015 at Dior counters nationwide.
