Smashbox + Flare + Donald Robertson Be Legendary Lipstick in "Canadian Flare": Review and Swatches
Listen up fellow Canadian makeup lovers! For Fall 2015, you can show off your maple pride with an Canadian-exclusive lipstick from Smashbox. Created in partnership with Canadian fashion magazine Flare and featuring a beautiful packaging designed by Donald Robertson, the Smashbox + Flare + Donald Robertson Be Legendary Lipstick ($23 CAD) is available exclusively at Canadian Sephora stores. Packaging:
This special "Canadian Flare" edition Be Legendary Lipstick from Smashbox comes in a beautiful red box adorned with a Donald Robertson sketch. To my disappointment, the lipstick tube itself is nothing special. It has the same matte rectangular black tubes as the original Be Legendary Lipsticks. Additionally, because the lipstick is so soft and slick, my bullet fell right out of its base upon my first application. I luckily fixed it by melting and re-attaching the bullet but every time I apply this red I can still feel the lipstick wiggle at its base.

Formulation:
"Canadian Flare" is a beautiful, bright red with a semi-sheer coverage. The rich yet lightweight shea butter makes the application very slick and the wear is super comfortable and moisturizing. Unfortunately, the wear isn't great but the lipstick has an irresistable sheen.

Overall:
This is a beautiful semi-sheer red with a beautiful sheen. The formulation is very moisturizing but the wear is below average. The lipstick box has such a cute design, although I wish the tube itself had some sort of special embossing to celebrate this special Canadian exclusive.

Availability:
Smashbox is available online at Sephora, Smashbox.com and in stores at Shoppers Drug Mart, Murale.
