Clinique Pore Refining Solutions Charcoal Mask & Even Better Brightening Moisture Mask: Review

Both masks come in a super simple squeezable tube that generously holds 100ml of products.
The Pore Refining Solutions Charcoal Mask is made with charcoal powder derived from bamboo, montmorillonite clay rich in minerals, caffeine, hyaluronic acid, algae extract, and kaolin clay. The texture is so incredibly smooth and refined that it's hard to imagine this is a clay mask. The drying time is quick and the mask turns into a dry and smooth layer that almost looks like it could be peeled off. I really like how this mask visibly absorbs excess sebum and dirt while leaving my skin feeling fresh and clean.

Pore Refining Solutions Charcoal Mask

Made with glucosamine that brightens the skin, young orange peel extract that soothes skin irritations, and licorice extract that improves dull complexion, the Even Better Brightening Moisture Mask has a very thin, almost day cream like texture. The mask feels potently tingly on the skin, but I didn't like how it doesn't set or change in texture. After removing the mask, my face felt slightly softer and more radiant but I honestly didn't see a big difference.

Overall:

I love masks and I love Clinique so testing these two masks was super fun. The black charcoal mask is very refreshing and mattifying but I found the brightening moisture mask a bit lackluster.
