Have you always wanted to carry around your perfume like a purse? Well, now you can with the new Marc Jacobs fragrance Decadence ($119 CAD for 50ml, $140 CAD for 100ml). Housed in an actual tote-able bottle and made with notes of plum, rose, jasmine, amber, and papyrus, Decadence is sexy, sophisticated, and irresistibly luxurious. Inspired by the classic python Marc Jacobs bag, Decadence is shaped like a mini purse. The "purse flap" cap is gold with a faux-python covering. A beautiful shiny gold chain runs through the cap and it's attached to a long black tassel. The glass bottle is tinted jade green and because the cap is tightly attached, the bottle can actually be toted around like a real purse (on the rare occasion you really want your perfume handy).

The Scent:
Unlike previous Marc Jacobs scents like Daisy and Lola, Decadence is aimed at the more sophisticated crowd. The fragrance opens with a really sweet and intoxicating plum, which fades away within minutes to reveal the more feminine and floral heart. Both the rose and the jasmine are strong while the woody note gives off a slightly masculine touch. The fragrance almost has a smoky, toasted vanilla quality that I find quite unique, especially given the previous fresh floral track record of Marc Jacobs fragrances. I am quite in love with this fragrance, my only critique is that I wish the sweet plum scent would stick around longer, it's definitely my favorite element of the perfume!

Top Notes: Italian plum, saffron and iris
Heart Notes: Bulgarian rose, Sambac jasmine and orris root
Base Notes: Liquid amber, papyrus wood, vetiver
