The finish is slightly dewy but sets to a natural matte finish soon after. The formulation is hydrating but not at all heavy. There is no pilling or patching, and it layers well with other skincare products. The Black Rice Moisture Airyfit Daily Sunscreen is lighter than the likes of the
Round Lab Birch Moisturizing Sunscreen and the
Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun. Before receiving this sample from YesStyle, I had already purchased and finished a full bottle, so I would definitely recommend it for those with oily or combination skin.

Haruharu Wonder | Black Bamboo Daily Soothing Sun Shield SPF50+ PA++++ (C$20.60 for 20g):Formulated with black bamboo extract, niacinamide, adenosine, and betaine, the Haruharu Wonder Black Bamboo Daily Soothing Sun Shield is a solid sunscreen packaged in a convenient twist-up retractable stick format. Containing only chemical UV filters, the formula is surprisingly lightweight and leaves no white cast. I'm generally not a fan of stick sunscreens, as they tend to feel a bit sticky and heavy with silicones. For example, the Beauty of Joseon Matte Sun Stick felt quite heavy and sat noticeably on the skin. The Haruharu Wonder Black Bamboo Daily Soothing Sun Shield, however, is relatively lightweight.

It does have a grippy, waxy texture and can drag a little during application, but once it sets, it feels nourishing on the skin with a slightly dewy but non-greasy finish. Personally, while I like this product, I feel that sunscreen sticks are best used for touch-ups rather than as the primary sun protection product, since it can be difficult to apply enough for a full coverage. Nevertheless, the formulation of the Haruharu Wonder Black Bamboo Daily Soothing Sun Shield is one of the best sunscreens I’ve tried in a stick format.
