For Summer 2016, Calvin Klein has a new unisex fragrance called CK2 ($67 CAD for 100ml). Described as an "urban woody-fresh" scent, CK2 comes in an undeniably cool bottle. How does the fragrance smell? Read on to find out.......

The Bottle:
CK2 comes in a seriously unique clear cylindrical glass bottle. The clear acrylic cap doubles as a display base that allows the perfume to stand upright. The design kind of reminds me of a cool and modern water bottle. It's simple yet it very nicely embodies the spirit of Calvin Klein fragrances.

The Scent:
Top Note: Wasabi, mandarin orange, violet leaf.
Heart Note: Orris root, rose.
Base Note: Vetiver, sandalwood, incense.

CK2 opens with a sweet and refreshing citrus. Unfortunately, I couldn't detect any wasabi, which is definitely the most interesting note included in CK2. The citrus scent is very lovely but it fades away immediately (I'm talking seconds) to reveal a very woody and smoky blend that's a bit too strong for my liking. Interestingly, the smoky woodiness mellows out, perhaps as a result of my nose getting used to the scent, to reveal a slight floral note. Although to be completely honest, I get mostly woody incense from this fragrance. To me, this scent is a bit too monotonous, if only the citrus blend lingered on for a bit longer, CK2 would have made a much more alluring summer fragrance.
