Lancome Spring 2017 La Palette La Rose & NEW Juicy Shaker Shades: Review and Swatches
Inspired by the beauty and romance of spring in Paris, the Lancome Spring 2017 "Absolutely Rose!" Collection is introducing a brand new palette along with a handful of new Juicy Shaker shades. To see some swatches and read my review, click.......

Lancome Juicy Shaker in "303 Cloudy Candy", "343 Top Gum" & "401 Apple Moi" ($29 CAD):
Released earlier last year, the Lancome Juicy Shaker is a lightweight lip oil made with oils of peach seed, sweet almond, cranberry, and muscat rose. The product is housed in a cute little martini shaker-inspired tube and the applicator is a unique squishy cushion with a tapered end. To use, simply shake to mix the oil with the pigments and dab on with the cushion applicator.
There's a handful of new shades for Spring 2017 and I have here three of them. "303 Cloudy Candy" appears as a light baby pink with a sprinkling of sparkles, "343 Top Gum" appears as medium pink, and "401 Apple Moi" appears as a light sparkling green.

Although all three shades seem pretty bright and pigmented in the tube, they are all very, very sheer. I tried to swatch them on my arm and they came out almost transparent (hence why I didn't bother to share a swatch). So if you are looking for a little more color, I would recommend checking out some of the original shades. With that said, these lip oils are nourishing but not at all greasy. Each is also scented according to its name. "401 Apple Moi" smells of crisp apples, "Cloudy Candy" smells of soft cotton candy, while "343 Top Gum" smells like sweet bubble gum.

Lancome La Palette La Rose
Lancome La Palette La Rose ($75 CAD):
Housed in a slim rectangular plastic compact with an elegant rose design, this is a nine-shade eye and lips palette. The color scheme is very pastel and spring and you get a total of six shadows each weighing at 0.85g and three lip colors each weighing at 0.6g. The lip colors are shielded from powder fallouts with a reflective metal flap and also included is a dual-ended eyeshadow and lip brush.

In terms of formulation, all six shadows are very creamy and silky. The majority of the colors are shimmers so they aren't particularly pigmented but they also aren't super sheer. The rich mauve-brown and dark satin gray are very nicely pigmented but you also get a bold reflective silver that's unfortunately fallout-prone. Overall, though, the eyeshadows are pretty impressive if you like the soft cotton candy hues.

Next up are the lip colors. Now for the life of me I don't know why Lancome included a clear lip balm/gloss but they did, which is why it barely shows up on my arm swatches. I thought it would at least have some shimmers or iridescence but alas, it's just a plain old clear balm. The formulation is light and non-sticky but I would much rather want an actual lip color instead.

Aside from that, you get a very bold and surprisingly pigmented hot pink. There is also an equally pigmented coral peach. Both are creamy and hydrating. Although the coverage isn't quite on par with standard lipsticks, they still give the lips a nice flush of color.
