COSRX | PEPTIDE-132 Ultra Perfect Hair Bonding Shampoo (US$23 for 200 ml):

Formulated with PEPTIDE 132, a tripeptide made up of three amino acids, the PEPTIDE 132 Ultra Perfect Hair Bonding Shampoo is a bond-repairing formula that also includes biotin, niacinamide, piroctone olamine, and zinc to help reduce flaking, oiliness, and scalp irritation. The shampoo has no discernible fragrance and features a fairly viscous consistency that creates a rich lather, rinsing off easily while leaving the hair feeling clarified but not stripped. While it’s an excellent shampoo, the price feels a bit steep considering the small bottle size. For reference, a standard shampoo typically contains at least 250 to 350 ml.

With a very thick consistency, the PEPTIDE 132 Ultra Perfect Hair Bonding Treatment is a nourishing hair treatment enriched with olive oil, jojoba oil, grapeseed oil, rice bran oil, and macadamia oil. Unfortunately, the product is silicone-based, which may not be ideal for those prone to buildup. Due to the dense texture, it takes some effort to spread evenly and tends to leave a noticeable, slightly tacky residue after rinsing. For that reason, I would recommend avoiding application near the roots. Overall, the PEPTIDE 132 Treatment leaves hair feeling noticeably silkier and stronger, but personally, I prefer a lighter and easier-to-apply option.

COSRX | PEPTIDE-132 Ultra Perfect Hair Bonding Oil Serum (US$23 for 28 ml):

Formulated with rich botanical oils including olive, argan, camellia, jojoba, rice bran, macadamia, and grape seed, this is a nourishing and protective hair oil. Despite its name, the PEPTIDE 132 Ultra Perfect Hair Bonding Oil Serum has a surprisingly viscous, silicone-based formulation. A little goes a long way, but the texture makes it difficult to spread evenly through the hair. I found that it left my hair slightly tacky and greasy, especially when used alongside the PEPTIDE 132 Ultra Perfect Hair Bonding Treatment. As someone who prefers lighter, non-greasy hair oils, this one didn’t quite work for me.
