Lancôme Lip Lover Dewy Color Lip Perfecter Lip Gloss: Review and Swatches

Disclaimer: Products featured are provided for review.
Hello everyone, today I have two exciting lip products from Lancôme's new Lip Lover Dewy Color Lip Perfecter ($29 CAD) line to share with you! Described as a dewy and intense lip color, the Lip Lovers provide both shine and color without compromising comfort or moisture. To see my review and swatches, click......

What they are:
-Pigmented lip glosses with the hydration of a balm
-Balmy base of formulation provides up to eight hours of moisture
-Smoothing layer of formula reduces appearance of fine lines and brings a brilliant shine

Package design:
The Lip Lovers feature a very fancy opening mechanism that allows the cap to be opened and closed with just one click of a button. The tube is made of a shiny silver coated plastic with a small clear window that shows the color of the gloss and the Lip Lover logo.
The Lip Lover has a small pointed doe foot applicator that allows application precision.

Scent:
The Lip Lover has a very subtle fruity scent.
With a click of the small silver button on the tube, the cap will pop open slightly.
Pointed doe foot allows for application precision.
Color & Pigmentation:
Despite the description of being high intensity lip colors, there definitely is variation between the opacity of the different colors, the two I have here are:
338 Rose Des Cygnes: Described as a dark rose pink/mauve, this one is a very pigmented and opaque dusty rose with warm undertones.
357 Bouguet Final: Described as a berry pink, this one is a rather sheer pink. There was also a bit of pooling of color in the fine lines of my lips but it's only noticeable up close.

Formulation:
The new Lip Lovers are essentially lip glosses but the formulation is definitely superior than your average lip gloss. They apply very smoothly, almost like a gel; the formulation is non-sticky and very lightweight. They almost feel like lip balms on the lips. I also found the formulation to be very cushioning so the fine lines on my lips are noticeably reduced.

Longevity:
Unfortunately, like typical lip glosses, the Lip Lovers faded on me in about three to four hours. However, I did notice that even after the shine and color disappeared, my lips still felt moisturized.
338 Rose Des Cygnes, a very opaque dusty rose.

357 Bouguet Final, a fairly sheer pink.
Pros:
-Lightweight formulation that feels very balmy and cushioning
-Moisturizing and non-sticky
-Super cool one click open/closing mechanism

Cons:
-Standard wear time (like typical lip glosses)
-Noticeable variation between pigmentation of the different shades, definitely do some research/recon before purchasing so you know exactly if the color you want is sheer or opaque.

Overall:
Is it me or are lip glosses (touting newly improved and revolutionary formulations) making a come back this year? First there was the Maybelline Color Elixirs, then there was the L'Oreal Color Riche, and now it's the Lancôme Lip Lovers. I think if you are a fan of lip glosses then these are definitely worth trying out and even if you aren't too keen on lip glosses, these might just change your mind because the formulation is truly lightweight and super comfortable. You can finally enjoy the shine without the heaviness or stickiness!

Availability:
The Lancôme Lip Lover can be purchased online and in stores at Sephora and at various department stores nationwide.

Have you spotted these in stores yet? Which of the two colors do you prefer? Let me know in the comments below!
