| ANUA | Zero-Cast Moisturizing Finish Sunscreen |
I was a bit surprised when I first looked at the ingredient list for the ANUA Zero-Cast Moisturizing Finish Sunscreen, as it relies on more traditional chemical sunscreen filters rather than the newer-generation UV filters commonly found in many Korean sunscreens. While I can’t confirm this, I strongly suspect the formulation was developed specifically for the North American market, since all of the UV filters used are approved in both the US and Canada.
I don’t have anything against older-generation chemical filters as they clearly get the job done. However, one of the main reasons I actively seek out Korean and Japanese sunscreens is for their use of more advanced sunscreen technologies. Because of this, the more traditional approach makes this sunscreen feel less exciting to me. That said, the overall formulation and skin feel are still very well done. For those looking for a lightweight chemical sunscreen that wears comfortably and leaves no white cast, this is still a solid option.
