June 2014 Wantable Makeup Box: Unboxing and Review

Disclaimer: The box featured was provided for review.June 2014 Wantable Makeup Box: Unboxing and Review
It's been quite a while since I did a Wantable Makeup Box post but today I wanted to give you a sneakpeak at what's inside my June box, hot out of the mail box.
For those of you that aren't familiar with the Wantable Makeup Box, it is a monthly makeup subscription box that costs $36 per month (free US shipping). Every month you will receive four to five full sized makeup products from premium beauty brands and you also have the option of skipping or canceling any time you like. Individual boxes can be purchased for $40 each.
The service is fully customizable so you will always receive products you love and never receive products you don't. To see what's in my June Wantable Makeup Box, click........

Tarina Tarantino Dollskin Cream Blush in "Coral Cameo" ($30):
This is no doubt the star item of the box. The Tarina Tarantino Dollskin Cream Blush is a cream blush/powder highlighter duo. Usually I am not a fan of products with powder and cream combined together but this one doesn't' bother me as much since the "Sparklicity" powder is a pretty shimmer highlighter; it won't really ruin the cream blush even if it does get mixed in there. The cream blush promises long lasting matte finish and it has a light weight cream to powder formulation.

Liptini Straight Up Color Lipstick in Pink Champagne ($18):
This is a dusty rose lipstick with golden shimmers from 'Tini Beauty, the brand that makes all the Nailtini Nail Polishes. This looks like a very pretty color and all but I am a little bored with the 'Tini Beauty brand products. I feel like just about every single beauty subscription out there has featured it and it really isn't a brand that I would consider "premium". Also I am not a fan of the packaging, the grey plastic outer casing feels very cheap.

Vincent Longo Perfect Canvas Liquid Concealer in "Fair" ($28):
This is actually the first time I had a mix-up in my Wantable Box. In my preferences, I had stated that I "dislike" complexion products (which means I would never receive any in my box) and in fact it is listed on my info sheet that I should have received the Vincent Longo Dew Drop Blush in "Desert Rose" ($30).
Nevertheless, I am not unhappy with the product. It is a very fancy concealer pen with a fuzzy sponge applicator. The product dispenses when the bottom is twisted. The formulation is enhanced with peptides that will not only hide under-eye circles but also reduce puffiness.
*Update: I contacted Wantable's Customer Service department about the mix-up and have already heard back from them. They are sending a replacement product and letting me keep the concealer. Awesome service!

Mirabella Shadow Duo (Pick A Color Palette) in "Poppy" & "Vintage" ($30):
This is no doubt the most interesting item in the box. The Pick 2 Palette ($10) comes as an empty duo eyeshadow palette with two magnetic slots for two round pan shadows. I received the colors ($10 each) Poppy (a shimmery champagne) and Vintage (a deep burgundy shimmer). I really love customizable makeup so I really dig the idea and design behind the Mirabella Shadow Duo Pick A Color Palette.

Here are a few photos I snapped showing how easy it is to pop in the individual colors.

Overall:
The total value of the box is $104. So that's pretty amazing compared to the $36 subscription price (or the $40 one-time cost). Although I am a little disappointed with the Vincent Longo concealer/blush mix-up and the Liptini Lipstick, the Tarina Tarantino Cream Blush and the Mirabella Palette more than makes up for them!
