Urban Decay Naked Skin Ultra Definition Powder Foundation in "Medium Light Neutral": Review and Swatches

Disclaimer: Product featured was provided for review.
After the success of the Naked Skin liquid foundation from last year, Urban Decay has released a 14-shade Ultra Definition Powder Foundation ($43 CAD) for Spring 2015. I am all for powder foundations as I have fairly oily skin so these are right my my alley. I've been trying out the "Medium Light Neutral" shade for the past week and I want to share with you my thoughts today. Read on by clicking......
Packaging:
The powder foundation comes in a sleek gunmetal rectangular compact that opens with a push-button. The compact comes with a large mirror. The inside is divided into two sections, one holding the powder and the other a nifty sponge applicator. The sponge applicator is actually dual-sided; one side has an ordinary sponge texture that allows you to really pack the product on and the other has a fuzzy flocking texture that allows you to dust the powder on more lightly.
Additionally, the compact comes with a very pretty dust bag that protects the compact during travel and storage.

Formulation:
The powder is micro-milled and thus have a soft, almost creamy texture. Formulated with "Highlighter Performing Pigments (HPP)", the powder provides medium coverage on its own. I love using it just over some moisturizer and a dab of concealer. The texture of the powder is truly dreamy and the wear of the powder is really great as well.

Here is the before and after. I applied the powder with a powder brush and am wearing the new Urban Decay concealer (reviewed here) underneath under my eyes and over my blemishes. As you can see, the foundation powder blurs the pores, mattifies the skin, and provides a glowy medium coverage.
Overall:
It's hard to go wrong with a powder foundation and this one from Urban Decay has everything I want. The formulation is beautiful and the coverage looks natural and non-cakey. Also, the packaging is so cool and sleek, just as one would expect from Urban Decay!
