Packaging:
The new Ultra HD foundations come in beautiful double layered clear plastic bottle. The design is super sleek and simple and the product dispenses from a handy pump spout.

Formulation:
Available in 40 different shades, the new Ultra HD foundation promises a skin-like coverage that appears completely invisible in front of HD camera lenses. Infused with hydrating hyaluronic acid and light-reflecting sericite pigments, the foundation indeed has a very moisturizing and lightweight formulation. I like how smoothly the product applies and I like that it doesn't set too quickly so there is ample time to really blend out the foundation.
The coverage is light/medium but buildable to medium/full. I like almost everything about the formulation, but I have an issue with how it accentuates my pores and blemish bumps. This is a pretty common issue I have with foundations so I definitely look for foundations with a cushion-y coverage that glides and smooths out pores and patches. A primer will help improve this issue but I personally prefer not use to so many layers of products on my face.

Below is me wearing Y235, which is approximately the equivalent of NC20. If you click on the picture to enlarge, you can definitely see areas (nose, around the eyes, chin) where the foundation accentuates my pores and bumps.

Overall:
I love the wide range of shade choices and I like the moisturizing and lightweight formulation. However, I found that the foundation accentuates my pores and blemishes more so than others I've tried in the past. A primer can definitely solve this issue but for those with problem skin that prefer wearing just foundation alone, this might not be the best pick.

Make Up For Ever is available online and in stores at Sephora.
