Packaging:
The lip glosses come in sleek and simple clear acrylic tubes. The caps have a matte black texture embossed with the NARS x Steven Klein logo. These glosses don't have a traditional doe-foot applicator. Instead, they have a small, thin-tipped brush applicator that provides a more precise application. One of the brushes came quite frayed, which is a bit annoying because the frayed bristles made precise application a lot trickier.
Formulation:Slightly on the stickier side, these NARS x Steven Klein glosses pack quite a punch. The formulation is super pigmented and the finish is very shiny. "Provoke" is a dark plum with a very subtle shimmer; the color settled in the fine lines of the lips, which is slightly unfortunate. "Special Force" is a bright true red; this one is absolutely stunning, and super opaque too!
Because the glosses are on the tackier side, the wear is longer-lasting compared to your average lip gloss.
