Disclaimer: The products featured were provided for review.
I don't know about you but ever since I was a little girl I'd always been fascinated with fairies. So as you can imagine, I was pretty darn excited with the release of new Faerie Whispers Collection from MAC. Inspired by the "secret and wondrous world of fairies", the new collection is filled with soft and luminous colors that will make you fall in love with the world of magic and whimsy. The Faerie Whispers Collection all come in the original MAC packaging. The Beauty Powder comes in simple round compact with a small mirror. The lipsticks come in the classic black and silver tube and the Creamsheen Glass comes in a tall gloss tube with a simple doe-foot applicator.

Formulation:
The "Pearl Sunshine" Beauty Powder is a gorgeous and subtle highlighter in a soft beige-peach with an alluring pink sheen. The formulation of this is absolutely dreamy; it's finely milled, buttery, and pigmented (but not overpowering). "Pearl Sunshine" gives the cheekbones a subtle yet ethereal sheen; I can see this working for all skin tones as well.

The Creamsheen Glass Lip Gloss in "Calypso Beat" is a soft peachy-pink nude with subtle silver flecks of sparkle sprinkled within. The color is semi-sheer but the application is pretty even. I like that the finish is not as sticky as the original Lip Glass glosses.
"Gossamer Wing" is a sheer beige filled with golden sparkles. The formulation is not gritty and the lipstick actually feels pretty moisturizing and smooth on the lips. The sparkles, unfortunately, accentuate fine lines of the lips, so I would recommend pairing this with a base color instead of wearing it alone.
Last but not least is a soft mocha cream lipstick called "Among the Fireflies". The color is fairly pigmented but it's the smooth and rich formulation that makes it my fave of the three lip colors. The soft brown is not a color I would normally wear but this one is actually not bad because it's not too deep or vampy.
