Packaging:
The Chinese New Year Highlighting Palette features a simple yet luxurious red and black compact with sort of an offset elliptical shape. The lid has a subtle translucent embossing of the Chinese character "fu", which means "fortune" or "good luck". The compact opens up to reveal the highlighting powder (8.5 grams), pressed with an adorable monkey outline. The powder lifts to reveal a bottom compartment that holds a mini powder brush.

Formulation:
This is a very subtle and sheer highlighting powder with a warm beige-gold tone.  I tried to swatch it on my arm but it barely registered on camera so I swatched it on my fingers in the photo below. The subtle shimmer/sheen it provides looks very natural, so if you are looking for an intense strobing highlight, this is not it. The powder is very finely-milled and the texture is super smooth and silky. To me, this honestly is more of a collector's item. I mean, just look at how cute that monkey is!
