Packaging:
The Empreinte du Deserts palette comes in the classic Chanel eyeshadow quad. It's a compact black case with a small mirror and two sponge-tipped mini applicators. Each shadow (the four totals to 2 grams) is pressed with a desert sand pattern but due to the softness of the formulation, the pattern fades quickly after just a couple of swipes.

Formulation:
So far I haven't been very impressed with Chanel shadows but this palette is amazing! All four shades are absolutely silky and lovely. The formulation doesn't have that thick butteriness of shadows from brands like Urban Decay but these four neutrals have a very smooth and pigmented texture that blends seamlessly. Included is a light brown shimmer, a pale gold shimmer, a mossy green shimmer, and a dark brown shimmer. Aside from the lovely formulation, I really enjoyed the harmonious color selection too; it's a fresh combination that transitions well into any season.
