I am always up for trying new skin care lines and when they happen to be naturally-derived and cruelty-free, I get even more excited! Recently launched at Sephora, the Farmacy skincare range is a culmination of scientific research and agriculture expertise. All the products in the range are infused with Farmacy's patented Echinacea GreenEnvy extract-an ingredient rich in cichoric acid, known for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Farmacy Skin Dew Hydrating Essence Mist & Setting Spray

Farmacy Skin Dew Hydrating Essence Mist & Setting Spray ($57 CAD):
Packaged in a simple plastic bottle equipped with a very efficient spray nozzle, this green-tinted (no artificial colors) essence is formulated with Farmacy's patented Echinacea GreenEnvy extract, horsetail juice, kiwi fruit extract, peppermint oil, orange peel oil, basil extract, turmeric extract, and a plethora of other skin-loving botanical goodies. The mist has a subtle minty scent and it feels very refreshing on the skin. I noticed that the formulation doesn't absorb very quickly (due to the lack of alcohol in the formulation, which I am very thankful for), so it helps to gently pat the product into the skin after application.
I personally wouldn't use this as a setting spray as I have oily skin and everything needs to have a powder-finish with my makeup. However, this works great as a toner for some moisturization and nourishment before I apply my face creams.

Farmacy New Day Gentle Exfoliating Grains ($40 CAD):
A foaming powder face cleanser formulated with cranberry seeds and rice bran powder, the New Day Gentle Exfoliating Grains turns to a cleansing paste when mixed with a small amount of water. Also formulated with the Echinacea GreenEnvy extract (along with extracts of white willow bark, carrot, green tea, and marshmallow), New Day does a really good job at cleansing away dirt and oil accumulated throughout the day. The exfoliating grains are very gentle, providing a soft scrubbing action that's great for sensitive skin. This reminds me a bit of the Tatcha rice powder but not as smoothing.

My only critique of the product is that it's a bit too sudsy. The foam takes quite a bit of effort to wash off and I suppose I can try using less powder to begin with but the large opening of the bottle makes it difficult to control how much product is dispensed. All in all though, I really enjoy this cleansing powder as it is a much more affordable alternative to the Tatcha rice powder.
