Belif First Aid Transforming Peel Off Mask: Review
Going along with the saying "a new year, a new you", I wanted to share with you a mask from Belif that's all about skin transformation. With a very special peel-off formulation, the First Aid Transforming Peel Off Mask ($39 CAD) promises to leave the skin feeling "softer, moisturized, and pore-refined". Belif First Aid Transforming Peel Off Mask: Review
Belif First Aid Transforming Peel Off Mask
Housed in a simple white jar with a cap that looks like a little top hat, the Belif First Aid Transforming Peel Off Mask has a light gel-cream formulation with a soft citrus herbal scent. It applies in a thin layer and after 15 or so minutes, the mask will set and turn semi-transparent. Unlike traditional peel-off masks, the Transforming Peel Off Mask doesn't actually peel off when it's completely set. I mean, you can try, but it clings pretty tightly to the skin and only rips off in little pieces. To properly remove the mask, you simply wet your face and the mask magically absorbs the moisture within seconds. Then, simply pick off an edge with your fingers and the whole mask will peel off with just a few pulls.

Belif First Aid Transforming Peel Off Mask
This is definitely a very unique mask, I've never used anything like it before and I found the removal process very fascinating. With that said, I honestly didn't see a huge result. Formulated lemon balm and willow bark (a natural salicylic acid), the mask is designed to gently exfoliate the skin but I think it may just be a bit too weak for my skin type. My face felt slightly softer but I didn't see a dramatic difference. Also, the mask is formulated with alcohol, which is something I'm trying to phase out of my skincare routine. All in all, this is a unique mask with a very interesting removal process. The gentle formulation may be more appropriate for sensitive skin but for others that want a more potent exfoliation, the mask leaves something to be desired.
