Essie Gel Couture Spring 2017 Ballet Nudes Collection: Review and Swatches
Released mid-2016, the Essie Gel Couture range is getting some brand new shades with the Spring 2017 Ballet Nudes Collection. Inspired by the romance and elegance of ballet, this collection offers up a lovely spectrum of spring pastels and everyday nudes. To see some swatches, click.......

At the Barre:
This is a sophisticated caramel nude. The formulation is very buttery and lovely so I only needed two coats for the swatches below.

Closing Night:
A very unique elephant gray packed with iridescent blue shimmers, Closing Night is definitely one of the most interesting shades in this collection. The formulation is slightly runny but I was able to get away with just two coats.

Hold the Position:
This is a lovely soft pink. The formulation was very smooth and decently pigmented. Two coats were almost enough for a complete coverage but I did need a third coat for a few of the nails.

Lace Me Up:
A pale pink pastel, Lace Me Up is not a super original shade and the formulation is quite sheer and patchy. I used three coats for the swatches below.

Perfect Posture:
This is a pastel periwinkle blue with a very smooth and even formulation. The coverage is still on the sheerer side so I had to use three coats on a few nails for the swatches below.

Satin Slipper:
A soft cream cashmere nude with a subtle splash of pearlescent shimmers, Satin Slipper is rather sheer. I used three coats for the swatches below but still found the coverage to be a bit lackluster. The formulation is not very even either so you can't really go for the super sheer, barely there one-coat polish.
