Formulation:
Just about every brand on the market has a liquid lipstick line nowadays but I'm always up for trying a new formulation. Unfortunately, the Pur liquid lipsticks left much to be desired. For starters, the formulation of the four shades is quite inconsistent. Addiction was incredibly chunky and dry while Obsessed was much smoother and creamier. Most of all, though, none of the shades are actually transfer-proof. Unlike the kaolin clay-based liquid lipsticks, the Pur Velvet Matte Liquid Lipsticks have a very silicone-y texture that doesn't completely set. The color continues to slide around on the lips until most of it has worn off. With that said, the formulation is not as drying as traditional liquid lipsticks and what does remain on the lips after a couple of hours will last a long time. Nevertheless, this line does not rank high on my list. See below for a breakdown of the shades included in this set.

Addiction: This is a deep wine-brown. The formulation is very chunky and silicone-y. When I pulled the applicator out of the tube, the lipstick literally looked like little solid chunks. The color is patchy, thick, and almost impossible to spread on the lips.
Key Red: This is a stunning true red. The formulation is also very chunky but the pigmentation and coverage are a lot better than Addiction.
Obsessed: A soft baby pink, Obsessed has a noticeably different formulation as compared to the other shades. The texture is smooth, creamy, and not very matte. Unfortunately, this shade is most prone to smudging and transfer, due to the slicker, creamier formulation.
Oh Bae: This is a soft peach nude. The formulation is patchy and semi-sheer. Unless you have very pales lips, this shade will emphasize and dry patch.
Agave Lip Oil: Despite its name, this is a simple clear gloss with a slightly tacky formulation.
