Givenchy Live Irresistible Eau de Parfum Delicieuse: Review
New from Givenchy comes an updated version of the beloved Live Irresistible fragrance. With a delicious mix of french pastries, cherry, and tonka beans, the new Live Irresistible Eau de Parfum Delicieuse ($125 CAD for 75ml) is a sweet and youthful gourmand fragrance that's bound to satisfy your sweet tooth. The Bottle:
Much like the original Live Irresistible (reviewed here), Live Irresistible Eau de Parfum Delicieuse comes in a tall and thin glass bottle etched with a studded pattern. This version has a pink base, giving the grapefruit tinted liquid a very cool ombre effect.

The Scent:
Opening with a strong splash of sweet and tart cherry, Live Irresistible Eau de Parfum Delicieuse quickly shifts from a light fruity accord to a sweet gourmand fragrance that's almost reminiscent of Mugler's Angel (but without the nauseating patchouli base notes). I get soft whiffs of pastry mixed in with some milky almond and sweet vanilla.

Top Notes: Cherry, french madeleine
Heart Notes: Essential rose, orange blossom
Base Notes: Bitter almonds, vanilla, tonka beans, orris root

Compared to the original Live Irresistible, this scent is much less citrus or fruity. It's distinctively sweet but not overly sugary. The sillage and longevity are also impressive. Just a couple of sprays will give you enough for the whole day! If you are a fan of gourmand scents with a sweet cherry opening, then definitely give this a go!
