Burt's Bees Flavour Crystals Lip Balm: Review
New for Spring/Summer 2017, Burt's Bees is introducing two brand new lip balms that are "packed with small crystals of dried, concentrated juice" designed to "capture the experience of your favorite juicy summer treat in a pocket size burst of flavor". Burt's Bees Flavour Crystals Lip Balm: Review
Burt's Bees Flavour Crystals Lip Balm
Housed in a simple twist-up stick packaging, the Flavour Crystals Lip Balms are currently available only in two flavors: Sweet Orange and Red Raspberry. Both are made with beeswax, coconut oil, vitamin E, and real fruit extract. Despite their name, these balms are like lip scrubs. The fruit juice crystals embedded within are very gritty and exfoliative. I assumed that they would melt onto the lips along with the balm but they mostly stayed solid!

Burt's Bees Flavour Crystals Lip Balm in Sweet Orange
The balm has a thicker, waxier texture but it's not at all tacky or greasy. Call me crazy but these Flavour Crystals Lip Balm are a pretty close dupe to the Dior Lip Sugar Scrub. $41 versus $5? I think I am team Burt's Bees on this one! In addition to the scrubby texture, the balms indeed have a very sweet and refreshing scent. The Sweet Orange is super sweet and refreshing while Red Raspberry is light and juicy!
So the bottom line with these Burt's Bees Flavour Crystals Lip Balm is that if you are looking for an ordinary everyday lip balm, these may not be what you want. But if you've been looking for an affordable lip scrub stick, then definitely check these out!
