Make Up For Ever Artist Liquid Matte Lipstick: Review and Swatches
Guess who is jumping on the liquid lipstick train? Make Up For Ever! For Spring 2017, the brand is introducing a six-shade Artist Liquid Matte Lipstick ($25 CAD) collection. With some ultra-wearable nudes, the range promises a true matte finish and a long-staying wear. To see some swatches and read my review, click......

Packaging:
The Make Up For Ever Artist Liquid Matte Lipsticks come in a standard lip gloss tube. The applicator is a traditional doe-foot, nothing too fancy. Despite the simple clear tube, the lacquered black cap and the sleek Make Up For Ever logo embossing add a nice whim of elegance.

Formulation:
Given that virtually every brand has a liquid lipstick line nowadays, Make Up For Ever is pretty late to the game. Although the line doesn't bring anything new, it offers a nicely formulated neutrals range. With a light and creamy liquid formulation that sets to a completely transfer-proof finish, the Liquid Matte Lipsticks have a very soft vanilla scent. I have three shades here and they all have a lovely full coverage. With a quick comparison to other liquid lipsticks I own, these are a dead ringer for the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipsticks (reviewed here) thanks to the super smooth and lightweight texture. The formulation is of course drying but that's expected of any liquid lipsticks.

103 Warm Beige: This is a gorgeous beige nude that's your ultimate everyday nude. The color is not quite my cup of tea but I know lots of people will love it!
105 Rosewood: This is a pale cool-tone mauve nude. The color has a slight lavender-gray tint so it might not complement warmer skin tones.
109 Praline: A lovely rosewood (why is this one not named Rosewood?), Praline is hands down my favorite shade out of the three. It actually reminds me a lot of "Bling" from Tarte.
